"In a perfect world, we'd open on June 18, but realistically, it looks like we'll open to the public on Monday, June 21," predicts Jeremy Marshall, operations manager of Mad Greens, the Denver-based gourmet salad chain that will unveil its tenth Colorado location later this month at 2073 South Colorado Boulevard.

"We think this is a great area for us, especially with all the foot traffic," explains Marshall, who says that the leafy greens salad company plans to erect additional locations in Colorado early next year.

In the meantime, the Colorado Boulevard store will celebrate the arrival of leaves and weeds with a donation day on Monday, June 21, when 100 percent of the store's net sales will be given to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. And on Tuesday, June 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Mad Greens is tossing free salads and also accepting cash donations for a second charity.

The company is still debating which organization will benefit, but if you want to make a mad push for your favorite, send a note, in 50 words or less, to [email protected] or keystroke your plea on the Mad Greens Facebook page.
