Former First Lady Michelle Obama surprised Children’s Hospital Colorado with a visit on December 13, 2018, the same day she held a book signing at the
Tattered Cover for her new book, Becoming, and was interviewed at the Pepsi Center that night. At the hospital, Obama answered questions from children about her favorite celebrity (Ellen DeGeneres), what she is getting Barack Obama for Christmas (a golf shirt), and whether she will run for president in 2020 (no, she thinks investing in young people who could become president is a better idea). When asked what advice she would give to her younger self, she said, “Don’t let fear guide you.
