Yardbird

The massive (nearly 15,000-square-foot) Yardbird that opened in Five Points in July 2023 is technically a chain, although its menu does include a lineup of Denver exclusives, such as 72-hour short ribs, alongside its justifiably famous fried chicken. The food is stellar, delivering both on flavor and technique; its only drawback is the relatively high price tag, with four pieces of chicken going for over $30. Then there are sides (most over $15) and a $25 slice of cake for dessert. But for diners willing to save their pennies, this kitchen delivers.
