This new counter-service restaurant in University Hills Plaza has the nostalgic feel of a classic pizza joint with its black-and-white checkered floor and red accents. While pizza is the star at Dough Counter — and it's clear how much time and effort went into nailing down both the New York- and Sicilian-style pies on offer — the non-pizza items, like gluten-free chicken tenders, are winners, too. Even salads, often an afterthought at pizzerias, shine here.
