Just hours after Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert joined Cameo, a website where people pay money for video messages from various celebrities, her account was removed.

While Boebert was briefly on the platform, she joined Sarah Palin, British politician Nigel Farage, George Santos and Matt Gaetz as one of several current and ex-politicians on Cameo. The Republican House member's staff did not reply to a request for comment, but her introductory video on Cameo gave some explanation as to why she wanted to join the site.

"It's your girl from Colorado, Lauren Boebert," the congresswoman says in the now-deleted video. "I am so excited to be joining another platform where I can connect directly with supporters from all over the world. Whether you or someone you know needs an America-first pep talk, if you want to surprise friends or family with a message for a special day, or if you just want to know my thoughts on whatever's on your mind, Cameo is the place to connect with me."

She was charging $250 for a video or $2.99 to send her a message through Cameo. Cameo videos typically last no more than a few minutes, so the congresswoman could easily rake in a hefty payout — but maybe that was the problem.

The House Ethics Committee only allows representatives to earn $31,805 outside of their congressional salaries per year, so Boebert's actions could have eventually broken congressional rules.

"Not your typical Colorado Republican politician," Boebert's bio on Cameo read. "Jesus loving, Constitutionalist, America first, freedom fighter."

Boebert's age, birthday and star sign (Sagittarius) were also included in her biography.

"Whether it’s a milestone birthday, an anniversary, or a long-awaited reunion, make it unforgettable with a one-of-a-kind Cameo video from Lauren Boebert," the website encouraged. "You’ll have the chance to customize your request for Lauren Boebert, like asking them to mention inside jokes, share words of wisdom, or work in their signature catchphrases. Don’t be afraid to get creative with your request."

Though Boebert doesn't necessarily have a definitive catchphrase, she's known for her inflammatory comments about immigrants, the LGBTQ+ community and anyone who hasn't bought into MAGA. Her Cameo profile highlighted her love of the Second Amendment and "freedom." She also added that she is a mom.

On Cameo, Boebert was classified as an influencer as well as being tagged as a "political commentator." There isn't a "politician" or "elected official" category.
