On Sunday, August 14, Westword will host Tacolandia, a celebration of the city's street tacos in all their tortilla-wrapped glory. Join us at Sports Authority Field to enjoy unlimited samples from many of Denver's top taquerias, cantinas, Mexican restaurants and food trucks, including one Denver favorite that's more known for burritos.

Burrito Giant, at 4501 West 38th Avenue, has been keeping Denver's north side fed for more than three decades; you can't miss the colorful street-art mural that covers the entire east wall of the building. The Vigil family opened the shop in the mid-1980s, serving original recipes from their home town of Chimayo, New Mexico. They'll be handing out smoked pulled-pork and ground-beef tacos at the festival.

For a taste of Burrito Giant and dozens of other tacos, pick up Tacolandia tickets for $30 for general admission, which gets you unlimited food samples and entertainment from 4 to 7 p.m.; a $65 VIP ticket allows early entry into the event at 3 p.m., plus two Estrella Jalisco beers and plenty of surprises...including food from chef Jamey Fader of Lola.

Get your tickets now at westwordtacolandia.com. (If you hurry, you might still be able to snag a fiesta four-pack: four GA tickets for just $100.)
